Dear CPCU Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Past Boston Chapter President Ellen Barnett.
Ellen was a true champion of the Chapter, serving on the Board of Directors for many years and as the Chapter President from June, 2012 through December, 2012. In addition to her involvement in the Boston Chapter, Ellen served at the national level, on the Leadership Managerial Excellence Committee and most recently as an Interest Group Governor. Her commitment to the CPCU Society and the insurance industry were inspiring.
Ellen lived in many areas of the country throughout her career, most recently calling Plymouth, MA home. Her career included being a former AVP of Synergy Risk Management at Acadia, former Executive Director of the Insurance Library Association of Boston, and as the VP of Marketing and Public Outreach at ReGenAmerica, LLC. In addition, Ellen and her husband Paul owned the White Fox Christmas Tree Farm in NH.
Ellen will be sorely missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know her. Our sympathies go out to her family. Please find Ellen's Obituary and Memorial Service information here.
